What is hemovigilance?

TRIP definition
Hemovigilance is the systematic monitoring of adverse reactions and adverse incidents in the whole transfusion chain from donor to patient, and all activities which can contribute to safer and more effective use of blood products.

A set of organised surveillance procedures relating to serious adverse or unexpected  events or reactions in donors or recipients, and the epidemiological follow-up of donors
