TRIP stands for "Transfusion Reactions in Patients". Our mission is to receive and analyse reports of transfusion reactions and to promote hemovigilance in the widest sense, in order to contribute to improved transfusion safety in The Netherlands.

In August 2006 at the request of the Ministry of Health tissue vigilance was added to our brief and a similar system for reports of adverse reactions and events related to transplantation of tissues and cells was put in place.

TRIP and the International Haemovigilance Network can look back on a successful meeting in Amsterdam. The presentations have been placed on the website of the IHN.

TRIP thanks all who helped to make it a successful Seminar.
